Baby girl names
Dh and I can't agree on a name for our baby girl. She is due in about 24 days, give or take a few days. Does anyone have any suggestion?
We know we want her middle name to be Marie.
He likes:
Kaylee Marie
Keera Marie
He wants to call her K. That's why he likes those names. I don't want to call her K.
I like:
Sienna Marie
Sofi Marie
Ava Marie

i like Nikita Marie, he can call her K for Kita ?
or Kiana Marie ? Kendi Marie ? Keely Marie ? Kally Marie ?
I also like Sienna Marie !!
Ava & Sophia or Sophie have become super popular in the last couple of years so might be very common. Are you wanting something different that a lot of other kids would not be named?

~Here's the detailed list of most popular names in the US: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/ .
If you decide to name her a name in the top 20 it is very likely that in her school years she will be referred to by first name and last initial because there will be other Sophie's and Ava's in her classes.
I like all the names you posted, btw, although I prefer traditional spelling.~~Constance

One vote for keera! I love that name! If you do choose sofi, I agree you should use traditional spelling, otherwise she will spend her life correcting people.
Maybe you can wait and see her before finalizing a name. All the choices are very pretty.

What worked well for hubby and I was the mutual decision made before we had any babies that he gets to pick boy names, I get to pick girl names. We each had limited veto power. That's how we ended up with our Wesley John and soon to be our Maggie Anne.
I love the name Sophie, but it's so common. I wanted a classic name that wasn't super common anymore.
I do like Keera though. And just because he calls her K, doesn't mean you have too...some of DH's family shortens Wesley to Wes, but I never do. I didn't name him Wes, I named him Wesley and that's what I will call him!McD

Pick the name you like because you are the one going through the labor!!!! My husband liked the name Olivia for our daughter but I wanted Brenna. So I waited until she was born and when they put her on my chest I said hello Brenna Noelle. My husband said I thought we were calling her Olivia? I just looked at him and with a sweet smile I said she doesn't look like an Olivia, she looks like a Brenna! What was he going to do. I just went through 12 hours of labor!!! Tricky but it worked. To be honest, most men don't agonize over the names like the mom's do. He soon forgot about ever wanting to call her Olivia. He fell so in love with her from the minute she was born that I think we could have called her goofy and he wouldn't have cared!!!!!

I like the name Keera........ But then I did some traditional and 1 spelt differently. My oldest was Joshua Alden. When I named my 2nd son it was Brandon Kirk. But when I named him he was the only Brandon around but when we got back to the states there were a ton of them lol. My last son is Zackery Bryan. Everybody trys to spell it Zachary Brian. You guys seem to have the middle name fine. I hope you guys come to a happy ending with the name.
FernYes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.

Ava,Sofi
Me and my daughter was talking the other day about girls names and we really like Isabella. Should she ever have a another child (girl) Thats the name it's a namy i can remmeber when i was in school, but you don't hear it much any more..She would be called Bella,I see the gov stats on the name it's rankked 2 in 2008. So much for not real popular. If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal. Not to
people or things.

Give her a name she doesn't have to spell every time she meets a new person.
Give her a "grown up" name. It'll be on a business card some day.
