We're Going to the Fair Today!...
One problem is...it's not very frugal. I'm going to enjoy it anyways because we don't have a lot of expense in the entertainment category.
We bought all our tickets in advance to save a little money. The two kids are free to get in. DH & I are $8 each ($10 each at the gate). We bought the kids "Ride All Day Fun Pass" costing another $28 each ($37 each at the gate). The parking is $10 on weekends. ...The total so far before buying anything at the fair is $82!!!
I packed a picnic lunch for us, and hopfully no workers say anything at the fair. DD1 has a severe peanut/nut allergy, so my excuse is that we can't buy anything food-wise at the fair. I've packed grape juice boxes, water, sub sandwiches, apples, plums, strawberries, pretzals, salt & vinegar chips, cotton candy, air-popped popcorn with white cheddar flavouring, store-bought breadstics & cheese snacks for the kids and Smarties. Hopefully that's enought for lunch and an afternoon snack.
The weather is supposed to be warm & sunny. Yay!
I'm really crossing my fingers that the line ups at the kid rides aren't too large so that our two girls can get their money's worth out of the "Ride All Day Fun Passes". Maybe DD2 won't need an afternoon nap and we can stay even longer. An obstacle is what comes up when you lose sight of your goal.
