I need to vent!!!
GRRR kinda ticked off. Ok I pick up my lil man at school daily. They sent out a paper with the car line rules and some parents still dont abide by them!!!! OMG do the rules appkly to some and not others? I was so pissed i asked one of the ppl who stand by the gate and he acted like he had no clue what i said. Jerk! So as soon as I got home i went on website and wrote an email and I called the school and left a voice mail.Asking if the rules applied to some and not all. Also stating that what makes one persons schedual more valuable then anothers? I sit there patiently waiting to pick up my child saftly and i do recall that a few times in the begining when i walked to the gate to get him I was told to go back to my car they would bring him to me. Ok so what gives? GGGRRRRRRRR ok end rant. Do you think I did write thing? i will post the letter...
I am a parent who picks up my son daily at the back of the school. He is a kindergartner.I had a question to the rules.Do they apply to all parents or just some? Daily I have been sitting there waiting to pick my son up and following the rules that stated we stay in our cars and the children are brought out. Why is it that children are randomly taken ahead of other kids when there parent pull into drive ways and cut in fron of other waiting to go ahead and pick up there kids. I was wondering because it is unfair. I have got out of my car to walk to the gate to get my child and have been told to go back to my car. So I was wondering to whom the pick up rules applyed to? I do think most if not all parents are in a hurry for various reasons, but what makes it a prority to walk up infront of all others? Is my schedual less important? I surtenly do not think so.

We used to laugh at a lady at my girlfriends church who would park w/ 2 wheels on the curb in the fire zone. You know the one for firetrucks. Everytime she was running late ,dump went her car. At church. We call it delusions of granduer and overactive rights of entitlement complex. But yes, there is an "in" crowd at every school. There transgressions seem to be overlooked.

I feel your frustration! The whole time my kids were in grade school idiot parents didn't follow those rules. My kids are 13 and 16 now but I noticed that this year the school put up barricades in front of the school where the "idots " who couldn't read of follow directions parked instead of at the side of the school.
I watch and they open the barricade for each individual bus. Effectively keeping the parents who cant follow directions out. It seems like a pain for the person manning the barricade operation but does seem effective.
I find it ridiculous they needed to do this because people just can't read the huge signs or think they are too special for rules

**snort** 56 years... I love typos like that. I bet it seems like you sit in those lines for 56 years.
I am glad you got a call back and they are making moves to fix it. It sounds like it could be a dangerous situation for a little kid.Beak-1996, Toad-1998, and Q-1998

56 years!
I pulled out my calculator trying to figure out if the school was a 12 year school, if you went there as a kid and how many years total each of your children would be attending!!
Did I mention I was a blonde bookkeeper??Katie ~ Mummy of 2

I feel your pain. Our schools car pool runs along the front of the school. Cars are NOT to pull into the office parking lot. BUT THEY DO all the time. IT drives me nuts because to get out of that parking lot they have to cut into the car pool line and go against the traffic to go around the line. GRHHH... it causes accidents. I can't believe some people.

I think that this type of thing happens in every school in one area or another. So glad that you got a nice return call from an administrator - now there is a job that I wouldn't want for anything
. glad that you are through this upset Joyce with a good outcome!!

Pic up and drop off times were one of the MOST frustrating parts of our days when my boys were in school (homeschooled now). The high school is MUCH easier to deal with than the elementary was.
