    Default To our Georgia members

Just wanted to say to all the Georgia members that I hope that they're staying safe and dry. I know from "talking" with others from down there, that they've had no usable water and that the roads are flooding and people are being swept away when they try to drive thru the water.
    I'm thinking of ya's!

ps. see! this is why some of us stockpile food, water and gas for the generators! LOL

Thanks for your concern. We have had water in our screened in porch and garage but not our house. But we just had water to come up the drain in our downstairs bathtub. There is literally no where for the water to go. I've never seen anything like it. Bridges on some county and city roads have collapsed, streets have flooded and there have been mudslides! I just heard on the news that they are asking people to not wash clothes or run dishwashers, etc because the sewer systems just can't handle any extra water. And they said now we could expect trees to be uprooted because of the wet ground. Off and on rain is expected thru this weekend. Please remember us in your prayers!

Relative in NW Ga posting videos of flooding in fb--kid out of school due to flood, really serious mess there. Best to you all--Bham here we have had over 10 inches in my yard and there are "canyons" from the run off of my very slanted yard. And I am getting moldy!lol Very weird for Sept in this neck of the woods

I live in the GA 'mtns' but with the exception of some localized flooding last week, it's not as bad as Atlanta.
I saw the downtown connector on the AJC website earlier this evening. Unbelievable!! I also saw that I-575 was closed. That's a major commuter route for a lot of my neighbors. I'm not sure if they made it home, or were forced to find accomadations along the way.
I'm praying for you who are affected by the floods.

From here it sounds as if the rains are slowing down - sure hope so.

Be careful, please, in cleaning up - lots of germs out there - be safe.
