Talking Full steam ahead on wedding plans

As most of you know DBF & I are getting married

We have a date set for 27th August 2010

We are being very frugal about it, we bought all the flowers (fake ones) off eBay from a very nice couple who will let you have any colour you wish with ribbons and allsorts, and they look beautiful. I got 4 button holes, 3 corsages and the bouquet (wonderfully made) for 35.00

The ceremony is at the local registry office in town and in total with certificates and intention to marry notices that will cost 103.50

My dress is 48.00 - it needs a small alteration but its something that I can do myself.

FDH's tux cost 27.xx - full tux, brand new - eBay again.

The reception will be held in the local community centre with paying for the bar too that comes up to 115, there is no buffet offered so I am buying all the food items and my mum said she would help cook and prepare everything. That shouldn’t cost much as there is a store in town that do almost everything for 1.00 each for example 50 sausage rolls for 1.00 and party foods like that.

My sister knows a good DJ for not much about 150 she thinks it will cost.

I was counting on family holiday homes for the honeymoon my cousin had a place in Turkey and my Dad's cousin had one in I managed to find an awesome deal. 2 weeks in Corfu (Greek island) B&B for 199 each! I booked it and with the deposit paid there isn’t much left to pay off it. As we are flying from London we are travelling down the day before so we can see a show in the theatre and spend the night. We are not driving down to London we will be getting the coach - I don’t like the idea of leaving my car at the airport and due to the flight times we get back in the country at 4am and driving 100+ miles home is not good after 4 hours on a plane and being up for over 24 hours too. Not worth the risk.

The rings will only cost 30 for both total – both silver, i don’t like gold. Lol.

Other items I have to get and budget for are:
    Tiara – 15 -20 budget
    Shoes – 15 budget
Car transport – not sure how much this will be first.
London accommodation and show tickets and bus tickets - that needs to be done nearer the time.
Decorations – just balloons and streamers. Nothing to fancy.
Cake – I know some one who will do one for just the price of the ingredients.

At the moment total cost are running at about 750 ( including the honeymoon)

i will be when it comes to the day and people ask how much it all cost and i will tell them it was under 1000, paid in cash, no debt and all by myself.

Ive not had any financial help yet so i am not going to rely on recieving money to help pay for things but if we do it can be put towards the honeymoon spending money.
