Prayers and good thoughts for my DH....

A couple of months ago, he found a lump on his left chest (breast area, under nipple). Over the next two and a half months, with me nagging him to go, and the lump growing, he finally went last week to a doctor.

Then he had a mammogram (yes, they do them on men), and we are waiting for the results. It's been almost a week since the mammo. He called yesterday---they had no results yet, so we are still waiting. We should know by tomorrow at the latest, I'm thinking. They said they'd call.

His mother had breast cancer, his father had prostate cancer and skin cancer, his brother had testicular. He is swimming at the shallow end of the gene pool. It is rampant in his family.

Please pray that it is OK, or at least that we caught it soon enough that it hasn't metasticized somewhere else.

Saying prayers. My brother just went through the very same thing and it turned out to be fatty tissue developing due to a drop his testosterone level. It was harmless but painful never the less . I guess it is pretty common and happens as men get older occasionally. I hope your husbands problem is harmless as well.

I am sending good thoughts and prayers for both you and your husband.

In my experience bad news comes fast! really fast.... especially in these types of cases. Keep a positive attitude and breathe while you wait, which I know is not easy; your mind is running a mile a minute as is his..........with all the what if's.........

As my mother in law always said no news is good news :-).

Get your fears out here, so you can let them go for a moment; we will listen and be here to support you through the unknown....
