Member of the Month?
I totally agree that Debbie was the right choice for the first, she is so helpful kind and supportive............caring kind and always there with a nice word.......... or encouragement; but being a new award (nothing taken from you deb....you are AWESOME!!!!)
who decides? October is nearing, can we vote? who has helped us the most? each of us come from a different background....and different perspective. I think it would be fun to vote, a)keep us in line, b) someone who had 50 posts could have really good advice and committed (think Greebo) now a moderator;
and Debbie... a newbie... who is member of the month... she does not have years behind her, just her words "text"...............

Hmm, I didn't know FV was doing a member of the month. Is this new or have I been under a rock?
Seriously though, do you think it could cause any hurt feelings if it turned into a popularity contest?

I'll be choosing the member of the month. We are considering making it member of the week though. 12 members per year doesn't seem like a good approach.

Another thought. What about personal interviews? I know this works for some boards. Like questions about getting to know that person and that way it doesn't seem like a popularity contest.
I know many here would love to give more time and share great advice/info, but just doesn't have the time with say little ones, or work, etc, but would love to post more.
I would like to see it not so much on post count but more about the input given on each post made.
I hope that made sense.

I think that Sara as the choice maker is the best way to go - she has the global perspective for FV and knows who will best fit the model.
Another reason that I appreciated DC being chosen is that she seems to bring out the best in all of us!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.
