Curious.....
What does living life to the fullest mean to you?
The simple answer or complex answers are all welcome. I'd love to read it all. I'm just having one of those days where I'm questioning where I'm at in these thoughts. Would love to read what others have to say.
Thank you!

Being with family and close friends. I do have a saying that I live by though which sums living life to the fullest means to me...
I do not want to go to the grave in a well preserved perfect body. I want to slide into heaven sideways, banged up, bruised, laughing all the way saying "Boy, that was one hell of a ride!"
Life's too short. I do what I can, try everything I can and love as hard as I can.

Living life to the fullest to me means..
Doing all the things I do every day with my eyes and arms wide open.
Wallowing in the laughter.. AND... pausing to really feel the pain, because the fact that I CAN feel is a miracle.
Thinking things all the way through so that I know exactly what I'm doing.. but mostly doing it anyway!
Allowing myself to weep for the tragedies of people I have never met, and smiling when I wake up at night.. because someone, somewhere is holding a beautiful baby that no one thought would live.
Loving humanity for it's beauty and it's incredible ugliness, even though I know most of them would think I was nuts for bothering, and half of them are @sshats anyway.

living life to the fullest for me is being happy and in peace.
as i get older i stop and smell the roses so to speak....notice little things in nature, etc. that i was too busy to see or appreciate while i was younger. being much kinder to everyone i meet. not judging people. i take pleasure in the smallest of things that i never did before. making sure to do many more RAOK now that i can. that is more of a reward for me than for whom i do them for. letting go of most useless feelings....guilt, jealousy, etc. accepting myself in my own skin and not caring what others think anymore......ok....just random thoughts .....i rambled....lol
forgot to add............the most important thing in my life that makes each day wonderful..........LAUGHING!!!!!

Living Life To The Fullest means to me....
....living on the edge
....pushing myself to do more then I thought I could
....trying things I'd normally not try
....see things I'd normally not see
....living like I'd never done before
..... and lastly, being able to look back on my life experiences and go "OMG I did WHAT back then!?
Gosh I was such a doofus!" (being able to have all them crazy vivid memories
and be able to not only laugh at them but be proud
)
Remember - just try it, you might like it!

I'm loving all of the answers! They are fantastic! Thank you for sharing!
Sometimes as a stay at home mother I don't get out much and I feel like I'm not living life to the fullest. That my potential is being wasted. However, I needed a shift in thought and reading these I realize that my thoughts are still the same. I'm just overwhelmed with home life. I needed to read these today and they are helpful. Thank you all!

For me it means being as present as I can with everything I do.
spending quality time with family and friends. Keeping an open mind to keep learning.

I read all the above replies and really had to think about my answer. There are so many thoughts that run through my head. LOL
Living life to the fullest would be to live my dreams. In the last 8 years I've lost 1 aunt, 1 uncle, 2 brothers,1 nephew, and came close to losing my husband. We are not guaranteed our next breath, and I didn't want to be on my deathbed with regrets of "I wish I would have.......". I want to be able to say, "I'm so glad I did..........".
I'm learning to do new things, to see places I've never seen before. Just this year I got to travel to California and Nova Scotia, I had never seen an ocean before, (I'm 53) and in a 3 month period got to put my feet in both the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. I got to travel through Utah, Nevada, California, Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, New York, Pennslyvania, Ohio, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. All on a motorcycle.
My oldest brother died doing something he loved.......truck driving. When I die, I want the same thing to be said of me, that I died doing something I loved. I want to live my "bucket list" LOL. I saw a signature line one time that said, "I would rather die living, than to live dying".
To me, that is living life to the fullest, if I can die with no regrets about things I left undone.
