Congratulations! Here's to a better year all around! Prayers for successful interviews

Well, none of the interviews worked out. Mine ended up being a phone interview, and they pretty much said they weren't interested in me, but I could come in anyway for another interview. ??? Ummm....no. I hate having my time wasted.
Dh canceled his interview, and will wait to see how many hours he can pick up at Target. He starts today. With the distance he'd have to travel for the other job, the higher wage would have been canceled out by gas costs & travel time.
I'm now trying to get in with a company proofreading term papers and other education-related services. That would be a wah position. Hard to say how well it would pay if I even get in.
We just keep looking.

Update! Dh went on to apply for a very good full-time job that will pay more than he'd make going back to teaching (but about 1/2 of what he made until the recession). He had his 2nd interview today, and felt it went well. There's one more round of interviews, if he gets the 3rd interview, he's very likely to get the job. We're keeping our cool on this one though, as we know these things can always fall through. I know he'd really be great at this job though, and would enjoy it. Hopefully they'll see that too.
I also had 2 interviews this week, and am hired at a retail store close to home as long as my background checks go through fine (which they will). Actually, I'm waiting on background checks at both stores, so I'll have to turn one down. I'm so looking forward to not having to look for a job anymore! ....still sending in more apps though, just in case.

Good for both of you. At least you are getting interviews, which means there are jobs waiting to be filled. Still sending prayers your way. Let us know how things go.

Update! All the jobs for dh listed before fell through, but then out of the blue, he managed to land a FT job much closer to home with full benefits after 30 days. Score! Unfortunately, he'll have to quit his pt retail job (which he enjoys), but one has to set priorities, and unfortunately no pt job can get in the way of a good career move. This will be dh's 2nd career change since we graduated college. It's like starting over at the bottom of the pay scale. *sigh* Still.....it's kind of exciting in its own way.
I am enjoying my new 2nd job in retail, and it doesn't conflict with my teaching.
Feels good to have us be gainfully employed again.
