Sara is Following me on my island

I was tickled pink this morning when I picked up my "Daily News" Really that is the name of my local paper "The Virgin Islands Daily News" I skim through the hefty 35 page paper and in the Home and Garden section, (That would be page 16, only page 16.) Is a little article about 8in long about Frugal Living!!!
Mrs. Sara Noel wrote an answer to a question about frugal gift giving. It was a great little read and I was so happy to see it in my daily/ local paper. It even had links to Frugal Village at the bottom!!
I just had to share that bit of fun today!
Sara!

Wow, how neat it made it to your paper considering your location. They might start carrying in on a regular basis. Hard to tell, but it rarely runs only once in a paper unless a paper requests specific reprint rights. Oddly, I am not permitted to know how many papers my column runs in or which ones. There's 500 papers in the network and if it runs in any of those, I have no idea because papers pick it up and drop it over and over depending on space and popularity. So sometimes it runs daily in some papers or weekly in others. Some might pick it up only a few times a yr.
If it runs in a paper outside of the network, then they let me know. Usually, all it takes is calling or emailing your local newspaper and requesting my column for it to run in your paper's print or online version. So while you can read many of them here on my site or on my syndicate's site, they aren't all available. So even if you don't get the paper regularly, it still helps me gain new readers if you request it locally. Liken it to requesting a library to carry a book. Even if you've read it, other people can enjoy it, too.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. It's internationally syndicated through Universal Uclick. Thank you for supporting Frugal Village.
