Your move sounds like our move. I moved from the edge of the Bible belt out here to way in the middle of NOT the Bible belt. Most churches do not have services on Sunday nights and the ones who do are scary. It is way different. I had to learn to look at things differently. It was then that I started seeing different opportunities. I can meet neighbors, I can visit a widow...

ThanksMW. Your suggestion is exactly what Hubby and I were discussing. We just keep praying that we find God's will in this.

I go for the teaching. I belong to a non-denomination church and they stick to teaching the Bible line by line verse by verse for the most part. With the belief that if you do that the chance to stray away from scripture is reduced alot.

Of couse there are times when the teaching is topical but is still very heavy on scripture not personal feelings or inclinations.

I have been to both large and small churches, I like the small ones for the family atmosphere but they can get very cliqish(?) and sometimes the music is not the best. The larger ones offer a lot of opportunities to get involved.
