How long does it take to shower
Well in this house when you have teens, its like pulling teeth to get them to shorten showers. The oldest is pretty good usally around 10 minutues for her, but the 14 year old she has spent up to 30 minutes and always riding her butt. I look at the time she gets in and latley i have had about yank her out of the shower. She just stands there. HELLOOOO i told her i was going to start saying no more often when she needs money for something, becuase the water bill is getting outragious.Just curious how long is enough time for a shower, My showes are around 8 to 10 minutes. Hubby arond 10 minutes.

Threaten to implement a time allotment for the bathroom and remove the locks from the doors so you are able to barge in and enforce it.
I can't remember which show I had seen on tv however everyone in the family got 20 mins in the bathroom each am to get ready and even then the shower had a timer installed on it, set for 10 mins max! The other 10 mins were spent for whatever else one needs to do in the am and get groomed post shower.2012: The Year Of The Purge!

My showers take about 6 minutes and I turn the water off during the shower. But then I am ver concious of the time I spend with the water on. Good luck on this one.

We are on a limited well, so water conservation is important. It takes me 10 minutes from the time I walk into the bathroom until I come out, so less than 10 minutes in the shower. And we have a shutoff valve on the shower head, so the water is not running all the time I am in the shower. Maybe 2-3 minutes of water-on time.
Okay, I am of the male persuasion, but DW doesn't take much longer than that.

Put a 15 minute timer on the bathroom door. Girl gets in shower, you start timer. It beeps, she has 1 minute, then you shut off the hot water.
She won't be late more than twice. I guarantee it.
In the Navy, we had 3 minutes. If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I probably take about 6 minutes, but I know as a teenager I took much longer. I don't know why. My daughter also took forever when she was about 14, but gradually got better. I think you just get more efficient at it with practise.
Also, a lot of girls shave their legs in the shower, which would add to the time. I don't really understand how that's done, but then I can barely even see my legs without my glasses on.

As I was reading this my 14 year old is getting out of the shower . She takes about 15 minutes actual shower time, At least another 30 in the bathroom though for hair "doing" we only have the one bathroom so she is forever having to come out so someone can get in. My youngest takes baths and so do I . We both hate showers. Dh takes one in the mornign or he cant function and he is a mechanic so a shower when he comes home is a must . The water bill is outragous here and it makes me crazy. Ugh.

~I understand your frustration! I took long showers as a teen too and they are a happy memory. After the kids came along I felt lucky to even get a shower let alone a long one. I average about 8 minutes now.
Shaving definitely takes a long time to do the first few years you do it because you're still learning.
Teens also have multiple specialty products for their hair, face and body. Takes a fair amount of time to run through them all every day. Eventually she'll realize that one or two products work for her and are enough.
I think it's like anything else that kids learn to do and that process takes time. We all grew out of it didn't we?~~Constance

I'm telling you - forget charging her - just find the shutoff valve for the hot water heater.
2 times will do it.If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
