DD's MRI Results
It's negative (normal)!!!!!
I have never been so scared out of my wits and ecstatic all in the same day . . . thank you so much for all the prayers, positive thoughts, hugs, and words of encouragement. You can't realize how much it meant to me. She has had two more seizures since the MRI--one in the hospital parking lot--and the doctor thinks we will need to increase the dosage of her Keppra in a few days, but my plan is that she will outgrow this in a few years. I realize things don't always go as planned, of course, but this is how I am going to keep myself sane for the time being and we will just have to cross new bridges as we come to them. Our Parents As Teachers coordinator was here early today and we both noticed that her speech seemed impaired (which has happened a couple of times after a seizure--not always though). I guess she may have had a seizure this morning that I didn't witness. They are so hard to catch anyway. We will be keeping an eye on her speech until she is at the right dosage of Keppra; then if she is still having speech troubles, we will then get her started in the early speech intervention program. Anyway . . . thanks again, FV friends.

Glad it came back normal......what a relief for you!
Good luck with getting the medication regulated....hang in there! It has got to be really stressful but take a deep breath and think positive!

Mahalo for keeping us informed and glad for the good news. It may take a while to get the medication adjusted.

Stacey, thank you for letting us know. I'm happy the MRI was normal. Now you can relax and watch her grow out of this. Keeping her in my prayers.

MM, we started keeping notes in a calendar earlier this week because I was starting to get dates and times mixed up in my mind. It helps to be able to keep track along with the med. dosages/adjustments.
