    Default Can't get rid of me!!!

    It has been nearly a year, but I am back, and as always, there is a story behind this.

    The past year has been a tough one for us. First, work in the automotive industry really changed. For the same pay I had to work an extra 15 hours a week just to keep my job. Second, my darling father became terminally ill and passed away this past summer after months of sickness. Something had to go in my life and one of those things was computer time.

    When Dad died I discovered some papers of his and found that he had been anxious and depressed through a good portion of his life and none of us ever knew because he always kept a smile on his face. I knew then that life was too short to live the way everyone else wanted me to.

    I began attending church with the girls as per a promise to my Dad. I borrowed money and put everything on the line to quit my job and open a beading store. I get to spend all my time with my kids while doing a creative job that I love and I have a deeper spirituality than I ever had before.

    It seems like every day now I wake up being thankful for the blessings I have and for the upcoming day which I know will bring me a whole new batch of happiness and contentment.

    All that being said, this gives a whole new value to the frugality I learned FV before!

    Welcome back! I am so sorry for your loss. Good luck on your new adventure! I too have been hit and miss on FV for a while. Sometimes real life just has to be taken care of.

    I have really missed your posts and often wondered how you were doing. I'm sorry it's been such a hard time for you, but, wow -- what a surprise with the new store!
