I'm so excited! DH bought me.....
a sewing machine today!! I got all the stuff to sew DS2 his curtains for his room. I haven't sewn since I was about 9
LMAO!! I can't wait to get started!

LOL!) And to think, you got that big beautiful house to decorate too! Like MM said, be sure to post your projects.....oh, and give dh a big hug from all the FV ladies for being such a sweetheart!

Have fun with your new sewing machine. I can't do much more that sew a straight line from time to time but really enjoy it when I do!

Curtains are easy and a great place to "remember your skills. I sewed curtains for my first home too. Give your DH kudos. Good choice,money well invested.

A heads up.... Walmart sells twin sized flat sheets in a billion colors for $4 a sheet. I have used them not only for curtains but also if I get fabric for curtains I will use the cream or white one to do the lining.
