Up since 3am, can you say 'ugh'?
First I get woken up by kids...
then I can't go back to sleep because of kids...
finally, I give up and come downstairs.
Not to mention, I also have severe pain on the right side of my face. Fullness in the ear, pain, etc and it's not fun. Between the skeletal dysplacia, malocclusion and TMJ diagnosis in the last four years, I don't know who to believe or how to get it fixed. I'm just tired of eating Advil all the time.
I might give the couch a shot or even try to crawl back to bed soon, but the idea of tossing and turning isn't good at all. At least DS11 is asleep and he was the hardest to get back to sleep. Hopefully after I post this, I'll give bed another shot.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

Very sorry to hear that. I'm in the same boat. I just go through these wicked bouts of insomnia. I slept from 12:30 to 2:30 a.m. this morning, and that was it.

I know how it feels and I am the insomnia queen. I've had under two hours of sleep because I have a toothache.

This day calls for some legal drugs and a nap later if I can.

I think a nap might be in order.
I did finally get back to sleep at like 5:30, but DH's alarm was off at 6am and I got probably two more hours of sleep. I really did not want to get out of bed.
When I did wake up the last time, I had a severe case of vertigo. It's still here, along with some ringing in my right ear. The Advil did end up helping, so the bottle sits nicely next to my coffee mug. I really really hope this gets better.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

I am so sorry you are in pain. I know how that is. Prescription pain killers can be a good thing sometimes. You might want to hit the doc for some stuff. Advil is hard on your stomach and can tear it up pretty bad (been there, got the t-shirt, took a year for my stomach to heal).
Hey, do you want the name of my ortho? It is Dischinger. He is near Portland, Oregon. But, I know that he trains other orthos. I am sure you won't come down here for work, but they might know someone up there that is good or they have trained. It might be worth the effort of an email. When I looked into my jaw, the older one had either written or co-written everything on the device (herbst) they used on me. DH has a underbite and they are fixing his jaw. And, these guys caught the fact that Toad's jaw issue was just a teeth issue and wasn't a jaw issue at all (after all the dentists had been telling us for years that it was a jaw issue). I have directed other people with issues to them also and they fixed them all up also.Beak-1996, Toad-1998, and Q-1998

I really dread it when I get insomnia. The longer it goes the less I can function. Hope you are able to get some rest!!!

Hugs and prayers coming your way.
Not sure if you are on meds, but a glass of wine just might help you relax enough to fall asleep?

Hope you were able to get a nap today and that you are
feeling better!
Insomnia is bad enough alone, but coupled with your pain,
I feel so very much for you.
You will be in my prayers tonight that you get some relief
from your pain.
Hugs to you!!!You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.

Not that I'm pushing for you to be on more pain meds but I know if you're desperate you can walk into a Shoppers Drug Mart and ask the pharmacist for acetaminophen with codeine. Same with their codeine cough syrup. No RX required. I think its still considered over the counter but they keep it behind the counter to be safe. Also, Alieve is now avail in Canada....not sure how much of a diff that is from Advil. If you try it and like it, they have coupons for it on save.ca.
I hope you feel better gf *hugs*2012: The Year Of The Purge!
