Default Boy the frost is on the pumpkins this morning!

It wasn't daylight yet when dh came in from work this morning but he said "man we had a heavy, HEAVY frost this morning!" After it was daylight I could see the ice on the fields around my house as I was going about my morning housecleaning chores.

I was talking to my mom on the phone and she told me she had just looked and it was only 27 degrees at her house and wanted to know what it was here. Ummmmmmm yeah........TWENTY degrees! Yep, you read that right........20 degrees! At 9am! Man oh man I am not ready for this!

We had frost on the fields and on the cars and roofs this morning here in NJ . But it will be warming up to 70 later this week This is right on schedule we usually get Indian summer right around the 18th of oct. I think we will have more of a traditional winter than we have been having ie more cold more snow

I put the heat on for a bit yesterday ~ I have NEVER put the heat on in October and it's actually a little chilly in here now but I refuse to put it on again. I have no doubt it will warm up again but jeez it's chilly.

I have never owned a winter coat since we moved here (I just wear a fleece jacket) and I actually went and bought one last week. I think it's going ot be cold this winter.

Good thing we have a cord of wood out there ~ I think we'll be using it quite a bit this year!

Yup, it was very cold this morning. Did not want to get out of the covers, only did to go grocery shopping. I even debated on whether I really needed to go.

But it is supposed to get to the 70's by the end of the week. I really am dreading this winter. Luckily I found an LLBean down jacket with hood at the thrift store. The best part is it looks brand new and only cost about 10-12 dollars!!

Yep, it was really cold in upstate NY this morning at 8am it was 28 but it has warmed up to the 50s this afternoon. I sure hate heating this early in the season.
