Good, although temporary news...
DH will have a temporary---and I do mean really temporary, as in one week job.. He will be getting quite a bit for his work though. He is an equipment tech, and hopefully he will getting 35-40 an hour. This money will help immensley.. He will only lose one week of unemployment, and his schooling will not be affected.. He will make one week of employment and then some with this job. With the holidays around the corner this could not have come at a better time. YAY!!! Just thought I would share my news. Thanks.

Congratulations! I agree it couldn't come at a better time. Who knows, may be this will get his name out, and he can grab another week here and there until he finds something more steady. If nothing else, he's also networking some, and getting a feel for various areas of his expertise which is always cool.
I know how you feel...My Dh works in aesbestous abatment, and that's how he works through the off season, 2 days here, week there unemployment in between. One good thing is after being on unemployment - a real pay check, even just one, makes a big impact on the budget.

That is great news. I hope this helps in putting his name out in his field. Hugs and prayers.
IndigoMom, my ex-husband was in abatemnt for 10 years. Do they still have a lot of government contracts? He worked all over the country, they even wanted him to go to Beruit, I said no way I didn't care how much money he was going to make! That is one nasty job.
