Stupid, stupid cornmaze....
Oh, how I hate the thrice-damned corn maze. We went to the pumpkin patch last night and were lost in the cornmaze for 40 minutes. I stepped in nasty squishy mud, there was no navigation system provided and the kids had a BLAST. Personally I prefer the hay ride and the haunted house.
I am soooo out of shape! I am really feeling it today, So I guess the corn maze is not the issue, too many hours sitting on my bum is the issue.
But I still really hate the corn maze!

There have been cornmazes here since I was a kid and I have always hated them. The seem so pointless to me. I don't like to wander pointlessly, lol.

oohhhhh.....I love corn mazes....we go every year! It's such a challenge to find our way out.....
But seriously, hope you are feeling better...and it's worth it knowing your kids had a blast."We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen; For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

We went for the first time this year. It was muddy, we only found half of the checkpoints, and it sucked! I won't be paying my hard earned money to wander aimlessly through a cornfield again!

There are people who love mazes and those who don't - better to know which type you are before you go!! I love mazes - on paper!! We have a pineapple maze here - but I've never gone in it. Would love to go on a hayride though!!

in a way, they sound fun, but once it hits dusk, I would be afraid of not being able to make my way out. I have a terrible sense of direction. If they came with it on paper and a "you are here...you need to get to here" thing, it might be more fun.
bet the kids could get out of one before me.

I have been traumatized in a regular year round shurbbery maze...no need to go through one in a muddy cornfield with supposed friends who love the scare the crap outta me or better yet go through at night when they let the employees try to scare you even more lol. Its just not for me. The hay ride I could do with, not sure bout the haunted one though.
Let's just say, I don't like to be scared and I'm pretty sure that the employees don't like to be punched in return for doing their jobs.
I like looking at the farms though, all decked out for Hallowe'en and as a city dweller, I appreciate their effort and hard work put in for the season. I usually support them by paying to go in and just walk around to browse and buy a treat or fruits.
PS Karen, if you consider sitting on yer bum for a while as being out of shape....how do you feel about standing all day on your feet, walking and stair climbing?! LOL *hugs gf*2012: The Year Of The Purge!

I never liked corn mazes, however my kids do! I take them and let them lose, they always find their way out. I sit on a bale of straw and sip on hot fresh pressed cider and chat with my husband or whoever else is near. I'm not one for mud or bugs, gosh being a country girl and all you'd think I wouldn't mind. Add to it that I'm directionally challenged and we could be there all night! I feel your pain, lol!

Did you know that they grew corn on hills - I forgot to mention in my earlier diatribe that it was a HILLY cornmaze (thus the out of shape-ness) Who knew.
Of course we had a great time and of course we will be going back next year - it`s a family tradition. I complain about the cornmaze, DD9 takes the first chicken door in the haunted house, and DD14 stuffs herself into all the kiddy rides.
Of course I was kidding about the mud and the GPS. I was waxing melodramatic for the sheer entertainment of my friends here at FV, for those who expressed concern that my children will be deprived of such activities in the future.
