Frugality? Still wet behind the ears in NC
How did you hear about frugal village? Search engine for the Frugal Chef offered this site as one of the results.
What interests you here? Surviving on a low budget. Affordable recipes. Cheats, short cuts or anything else that is legal, nice, and free. Reading and sharing others experiences as well as my own that help save time and/or money.
What will you contribute? Anything that others mention that I could help with..... plus any legal shortcuts in life that I know of.
Do you know any other members here? Not one person
How many kids? One boy. Ages? 13, going on 24.
Tell us about yourself. Raised with six kids by SAHM. Dads work was seasonal, so we gardened alot to prepare for non-working winter months. Have worked mainly in Managerial positions, then eventually in the Housing & Court systems. Was also a Chef at one point in a NY Italian Restaurant. Became disabled recently and now have a VERY limited income. Looking for ways to NOT lead a VERY LIMITED life now that my financial situation is not so luxurious.
Do you own any pets? One cat .... her sister was SO gorgeous that someone stole her. Started with two though.
Occupation? Disability.
Married or single? Single for years and LOVING it!
Interests and hobbies? Haven't had time to HAVE any, so I haven't even pondered what to do when my son grows up and moves out. But I do LOVE cooking/baking.
Not quite sure how to navigate around this site yet, or what to click for a personal one to one message or thank you, vs a public posting. Guess I'll be learning by trial and error.

Private messages click on users ID to the left and there will be a bunch of options such as private message, public message. find more posts by ???? and add to contacts. You can also add friends besides contacts.
At the top on the info bar on the far left is User CP. It is a drop down box to take you to your stuff.
