Default Here is an absolutely rediculous observation...

Why does Sandra Lee from the food network pronounce broccoli with 4 syllables and hoisin sauce is pronounced like poison.

    Her pronunciations:

Broccoli = BER AUCK A LEE I pronounce is "Brock Lee"

Hoisin = hoison (sounds like poison) I pronounce it "hoy sin"

    Weird!

    =D

LOL! She pronounces many things in a strange way. She pronounces plate...pul-late. I think it's just the way she talks. It drives me crazy, but I put up with it, because I love her recipes and ideas. LOL

I have never watched her show. Trying to sound things out how you typed them I think I say hoisin sauce the same way you do. I do say broccoli different though. When I say it I would have 3 syllables in my word. I say it broc-o-lee

I would like to know if there is anything other than a lonely wind blowing around in that woman's head. Because, really? A Kwanzaa cake made from a store bought angel food cake and some canned apple pie filling?!
