    Default Too much reputation?

I must be nicer than most people think I am. I just tried adding to someone's reputation and I got a message saying I had given too much reputation in the last 24 hours. I never heard of such a thing. This was the first reputation to this poster today.

I know I'm new, and I may be wrong in saying this, but

Did ya send a copy of that message to Gabe too?

Isn't he the 'fix-it guy'? Good luck girl.

How do you add to someone's rep? I didn't know that was possible!

Under your total awards, to the left side, at the bottom, between the blue dot and the triangle with an exclamation inside of it is a little icon that allows you to add to someones rep.

You beat me to the answer. I think you are only allowed so many thanks and hugs per day if I remember right. Funny you can recieve more than you can give.

Same here on the thanks and hugs (although I'm not the hugger that MM is). I tried the rep button, and it let me give rep to one person, but now I keep getting a msg saying I have to "spread some Reputation around before giving it to 'x' again, even though I haven't tried giving it to 'x' yet." Grr....

Okay, next question. When someone gives me reputation, can I go check anywhere to see what they posted in the comments? Can they see mine when I give rep? I must have answers!!

If you want more info go to the search feature and type in reputation. There are several threads on this. More than one thing determines reputation.

    It's not a white cloud, it's a scale - a balance scale.
And you can only give out so much positive reputation in a day - keeps people from abusing the system and turning into a sham popularity contest. Kinda.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"
