I am in a similar situation as I dislike to admit it. 62, had 5 bypasses at 47, 5 years ago my only Child passed away at 26. My Cardiologist, a very famous one, actually told me that at that stage smoking a few would be OK. I roll my own cigarettes (maybe you can do that, pure tobacco with no chemicals) and I smoke 3 a day, that is it. With my coffee in the morning, lunch and after dinner.
I will quit that too soon, but I actually enjoy those...
Just thought I would let you know, you are not alone.
Be well...

When I am stressed I pick up a jump rope. Cheaper and better for you!( I would stress too much about the cost of cigs)

Have definately been there. When you are ready you will stop again. I think the thought of how much they cost now would only stress me out more.
Also, keep in mind, the sooner you quit smoking the easier it will be to stop!!

I too am in a similar situation. I just lost my job and started smoking again.

I stopped about 10 years ago too.

Rhiamon,
I can't say diddly squat. I smoke 4 packs a day and am on O2 plus a bi-pap to force it in my lungs, lol.
I've been "dying" to quit & can't seem to find the strength or willpower. No pun intended. I actually ENJOY them as stress relievers. Beats pills, or booze. If I HAVE to be addicted to some form a 'relief' it may as well be one that doesn't make me wrap my car around a tree!
You'll get there again girl.
Beemer . . . . I like your concept. 3 a day .... when needed (or enjoyed) the most. I think I'll try that in an attempt to quit.
