    Default can you believe this?

I am a member of my local freecycle group. I imagine most of you know what this is...it's on yahoo groups. If you have something you want to get rid of, you post it and give it to any interested member who will pick it up. Everything has to be free. So the other day, somebody posted on there they had jars of pennies to get rid of. The person said they had two gallon size jars full of pennies and she didn't want to fool with them. They were snatched up pretty fast...

    Wow, free money, REALLY Free.

A quick search reveals there are about 7750 pennies in a gallon.

    2 gallons of pennies = about $140!

We dedicated freecyclers should all be so lucky! So foolish for her, though.

Wow, its amazing the things people give away! Doesn't want to fool w/them... that's silly IMO. I'm sure who ever got them was thrilled to roll them up & cash them in!

If she didn't want to roll them, it's not hard to go to one of those machines where you dump them in...

But the machines here can take up to 9% (the least amt. I found was just under 8%).......and our banks are getting really STINKY about taking rolled coins.......or lose coins.

When I was trying to turn in some quarters I found ONE (and you have to bank at the bank) that would take up to $100 a day of coins. I quickly QUIT saving coins as I had over $400 in quarters.

No more coins for me.......I spend them!!

Wow that is crazy. We can turn them in at the credit union no fee involved, no rolling needed.
