    Default Our Cheap Date

It's raining, pouring, monsooning outside, so Hubby suggested that we just dare the rain and go out on a wild hair. So I grabbed my jacket and bumbershoot and off we went. I never know where a wild hair will lead us.

It led us to Long John Silver's for a dollar sandwich and a glass of water. Then we checked out a surplus store (we're new in town and don't really know where many things are). And then we went to the public library and got our library card. Hubby checked out a movie, and I browsed the free giveaway book shelves. Found a brand new obscure history book that will be a perfect gift for my BIL for Christmas, and a woodworking book as a gift for Hubby.

What a fun afternoon, and total cost was $2.00!!! Ah, be still my frugal heart!
    Spiritual:

I love it - sounds like a lot of fun on a dime (okay, 20 dimes, but still!)

I like that kind of date. Especially the library, I sometimes go and put in microfilm and pick a year 1900, 1950 whatever my fancy is that day and just read and look at prices I can spend hours doing this.

OMG they still offer microfiche? Should I be proud or feel old for knowing what that is?

Default In this day and age!

I would be thrilled that my partner and I were so happy (after so many years) we could do so little and be happy..........(I would! so little money spent, and quality time).

That is in no way a dig; but envy. I have not entered the dating world again, not sure when I will, or if I will, but after almost three years of being a widow, I have begun thinking about moving on and my future life; (I just turned 43, I struggle between letting someone else in and just doing it alone.....) which would include dating, blah blah blah.... the fake dates, the being who you are not; blah blah blah...or a life of being lonely.............

    You are truly blessed...

    Romance at it's best !!!
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Dating is what you want it to be. I used it as an exercise to get out and brush up on my socialization skills. Even if it was just a coffee date once a month. No need to rush - it will happen when its meant to and w/o any great efforts. You can't force it, only put yourself out there to wait for the opportunities to arise. Chin up!
