been. Well life is crazy in my house. We have been doing alot of work in the house so its a mess but the bigger news is dh has been selected for promotion to Sargent Major. Its a good thing but not right yet its not. They told him in Sept he got selected but he has not gotten promoted yet so no pay raise. Also they are moving him to Salt Lake City Utah in January. Yds and I are staying here as yds is in his senior yr of h.s. Then yds is going off to college around here in Aug. After dh has been in his postion for one yr then he can request a transfer. Dh does not want to go to Salt Lake and I do not either so I am going to stay here even after yds goes off to college. So I will be living all alone( well except for the cats)
If dh puts in for the transfer in January 2011, it will take a few months to see if they ok it. If they do then dh and I will meet up whereever they send him( maybe back here) and if not then I will put the house up for sale and move to Salt Lake. So there is alot to do and very mixed feelings about all of this. Also they are sending dh to a Reserve Center so there is no military housing for him to stay in so we have had to rent an apt for him and we have a mortgage here. So we will be carrying 2 households and we dont know when dh will be officially promoted so we are VERY TIGHT with the money cuz he needs money to live when he gets there and even if he does get his promotion all of the pay raise will go to his living expenses. So things around here are stressful. I will check in more often

Sounds like you guys have a lot on your plates. I can't imagine having a hubby in the army; sounds like a lot of stress. Hopefully he'll get a pay raise soon to make things a little easier for you. A lot of changes are happening in your life (with your DH moving away) which is why you'll need the support of your frugal friends from Frugal Village. ((HUGS))

Congratulations to your DH for his selection to Sargent Major . It sounds like it has created a lot of changes in your household. Hugs to you and you family during all these changes.

Hugs and prayers. I can't imagine the stress you are dealing with, and why is it always during the holiday season things like this happen. I hope he gets the pay raise soon.
