    Default Help from infants' moms, please!

    I'm knitting a sweater and pant set for a 6-9 month old, and the directions for the pants simply say to measure elastic to the waist. Problem is, the baby isn't born yet, so I can't ask the mom, and my own "baby" is 15! Can anyone help me with a waist measurement so I can finish my project? Pretty please? (Besides, it's a surprise...)

    Babies vary so much in size, so I would insert a generous amount that can be adjusted later for the infant.
