When I eat an apple, there is no core left.. I eat everything but, the woody stem.

Nope was taught to leave the core/stem if eating it whole but mainly my parents would core it and slice it for the kids to eat/share.

You're not alone in eating the whole thing though - I did know quite a few people who would do that with apples & pears.

No, but then again, I prefer my apples well cooked with sugar, nutmeg and lots of cinnamon........preferably encircled by some kind of flakey crust or crumbly top

The core tastes a little earthy, but other than the slight taste variance there is nothing different about it. =D

No, I core mine. By the way, it's probably not a good idea to chew the seeds, cracking them open. Apparently that makes the toxin they contain more accessible to the body. But a few shouldn't hurt an adult.

I eat the whole thing (except stem) too!! You'd have to eat a tractor trailer load of seeds to be in any danger. You throw away 1/3 of the apple's fiber when you throw away the core.

I started doing this while riding in someone's car once, didn't want to roll the window down and throw it out, didn't know what else to do, so I just ate it! Liked it, too!!!
