New glasses

I'm not sure if I read about Vision USA on here or another site but we picked up our glasses Saturday with no charges what so ever. After ten years of not seeing I can see things again. I do have the beginings of glucoma (sp) but the new glasses may help. Dh had to get them too. He wasn't impressed but has been wearing them. I did wake up at midnight with a bear of a headache but I think it was more due to stress than anything else.So thank you so much to whomever posted the website here if that's where I found it. It has made a huge difference.

Talking about glasses, I need to wear mine but don't....But I over heard a friend talking about Zenni (do a search for their site) and If you have your presciption most glasses can be less then $20 Just a little tidbit to know

pop goes the weasel -- you're having a headache from your eyes re-learning how to see things. Its kind of a strain until they adjust to you wearing glasses b/c in the previous 10 yrs you haven't. After a few days the headache should stop.

Each time I get a new Rx for glasses, even if its a minute change, I get wicked headaches while my eyes adjust. Its normal.

I was going to check on thatc website for a spare pair for dh to wear to work. ?I kinda figured alot of my headache was from the muscles adjusting.

So happy it's going so well for you. Headaches are common for awhile with new glasses. I just take mine off for a little while when that happens and kind of work my way into it. I alway get bad headaches from them.

Glad you got some glasses!! I had to get glasses for the first time this year and I was simply amazed at how much I couldnt see before I got them!! Hope you dont get tooo many headaches!
