Sick kiddo~ scared me half to death!
Kiddo is really sick. You know something is wrong when your big strapping 16 year old doesn't want you to leave his side!
He has always been a really healthy kid with a high pain tolerance. After a surgery he was raring to go. When younger with double ear infections I only knew it was odd because they turned bright red. He always said it barely hurt. He never complains when he gets sick.
He got flu symptoms Sat night and by Sun afternoon was in the ER with crushing chest and back pain, high fever on top of the normal flu stuff. Very little coughing so the chest pain was scary to me. They did x rays , breathing treatments and sent us home with an arsenal of stuff including pain pills. The h1n1 is a crazy flu! I'm sure hoping no one else catches it and if they do it is a milder version.
You know your teenager is sick when he is up all night in pain and actually wants you to stick right by him! Scared the daylights out of me!~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

~It is a strange and nasty flu! The fact that it prefers healthy young people is especially scary, I think, because you can be doing everything right health-wise and it'll still lay you out.
I'm glad he's already been to the doctor and you have medication. Hope he's better very soon!~~Constance

You know what strikes me as really odd~~~~~
his employer doesn't want him back for 7 days after his fever breaks which is exactly what the Dr said to do. The Dr assured me he did not need a note for school as they were all following the same protocol set by the CDC.
When I called the school to tell them he was very ill with h1n1 and I told her what the Dr said she said nope~ they want them back 24 hours after the fever breaks. HUH???????~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

Bull...he needs to rest and definitely report the school. Also let them know it WILL be an excused absence.
So glad he's getting better. Mothers love is a wonderful thing. When my just turned 18 year old is sick I'm Mommy...when she's in a bad mood I'm "don't look at me, don't talk to me". When she is in a good mood I'm her favorite toy.Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Libby , Nikko and Intlmom~ I'm hoping I just got the ummmmm excuse me for this but... "dumb" secretary today! I have no worry about them not excusing it but will talk to the other secretary tomorrow. I may get a very different story. He isn't going back too soon and spread this junk around.
When at the ER his school was not on the Dr's radar but she said she had had tons of people from his employer which is the next town 17 miles away! I think his employer is smart wanting them cleared by the Dr before they come back.
Just found out his girlfriend is ill now also. Poor girl!
Niko I so know what you mean by that statement about your 18 years old LOL~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000
