Thanks for your fever advice! I need to remember to save the fever reducers till we're desperate. Our bodies heat up as a way to kill the bacterias! I know this and yet, still turn to the tylenol. Thanks for the timely reminder.

Hugs to you . . . that is a terrible combo you have! Sending prayers & positive thoughts for you and your girls for rest and healing. DS4 and I are going through it right now, too. Ugh. I thought he was over the hump and then his fever and coughing started again. I had the doc check him out . . . she said developing pneumonia afterwards is a serious concern, but his lungs sound fine. Mine is the worst at night. I just can't stop the dry cough. It's misery.

I bet if you were a Calgary Flames player or immediate family member, you'd have gotten it before the public servants...
yeah, it's like that here.
They shut down all of the clinics on Friday and just reopened them today for children only. Pregnant women (who are receiving the non-mercuried version) will get theirs on Friday.
The family physicians here aren't getting their shots. They aren't doing them at any walk-in clinics either. You have to go stand in line for hours to get the shot and even then, you can be turned away easily.
We had the H1N1 virus the first time around and it wasn't bad. I had to get asthma medication, but that was it. Almost everyone who has died or gotten severely sick has also had an underlying condition with it. As long as people wash their hands, disinfect everything, stay at home and drink plenty of fluids it isn't so bad.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

So sorry that you are all so sick. In reading all the messages, I'm amazed at how many areas do not have any flu shots available yet. That's just wrong. Take care of yourselves!!

We were supposed to get H1N1 shots this week (I work for the state)but they were canceled because they do not have enough. How come EVERY YEAR they run out? Why is there NEVER enough?>

Best wishes for fast recovery. Every year it just does not get any better.
My nearest neighbor is 4 miles away, one town 20m and the other way 55m. We are just staying here in the Desert, feeling a bit safer.

I'm one of the lucky ones, since I work in a health care environment. They offered shots, both seasonal and H1N1, first to the medical personnel who have patient contact, then the rest of us as long as it lasted. I got the seasonal shot several weeks ago, and went over this afternoon to get the H1N1 - fortunately they weren't out yet. They are out of seasonal vaccine now and don't expect more until later this month.
I hope the rest of you will have it available soon. Making the vaccine is a complicated, time consuming process that can't be rushed. I think this just came up so suddenly it had everyone scrambling to get out as much of it as they could.Donna

Hope you are feeling better soon ann.......and the rest of your family too.
We just had another death in our county yesterday. A 13 Y O with NO underlying medical conditions. It is really strange the way this stuff is hitting people.
TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF........and don't forget to TOSS THE TOOTHBRUSH and drinking bottles!!

I hope you all feel better real soon.

Some scary stuff. We're going to keep taking our vitamins and supplements, washing our hands, breathing in tea tree oil from the mister and praying for the best. I am however making casseroles and hopefully some soups to put away in the freezer so in the event I go down there's a healthy meal just waiting in the freezer. It's just too hard to cook for the family when I'm dog sick, and I'd like to have something other then ramen if we do get it.~~~
