I have used them for glasses but not the exam. We bought 2 pairs of glasses there and were happy with both.

DH has had an exam and has gotten 3 pairs of glasses there. As far as I know he's been happy with them...no problems....and very helpful.

I had an exam through one of the doctors there. Asked for a script and was given one. Didn't have any problems.
Now I use Cohen's Optical.

I used them this year and it was the best exam I have ever had, very thorough. I wear no line bifocals and have had problems with them being adjusted right ever since I started wearing them but the guy said he was usually right on when he measures. I have had no going back for adjustment to the lenses they work just fine. Of course, each optical place in a Walmart is independently owned so they could vary but give them a try.

My father was an optometrist. After he retired from his practice he worked at the WalMart optical center a couple of afternoons a week just to keep from getting too bored sitting at home. He told me that often your optometrist at Walmart is a person with many years of experience who is just cutting back their pace a little.

Our insurance covers Walmart so that's where we go. The optometrist was fine, the frames are fine but the other office help pretty much acted like they were doing us a favor. Frustrating.

Used them for the two oldest kids, and had great service and the glasses were fine, too. In fact, he remembered my kids a year later (that they were homeschooled) and he said he'd thought about ways that a HS child might manifest a vision problem differently than a PS kid! (Since they typically don't have to read off a blackboard)

We used them for my dd and was not happy as they did not get her script right. we were fighting with the insurance for a second exam and went there as she needed them right away. less than a month later insurance decided to pay for another exam and took her to the regular doc who had her in bifocals. When we went back to wallmart the doc there said that the scrips were close enought for her to wear eather pair. and would not change the script in that pair.

I got mine there and was told that I had transitional bifocals. Found out last week that I got charged for them and didn't get them. Of course it's been too long tohave any reciepts.

I have used them in the past but find Costco to be cheaper for both the exam and glasses and contacts. That being said I went to Binyons this time and splurged on a great pair of frames since every frame was on sale for $50.

I have been going there for several years and have had no problems. I wear contacts and have an exam every year. I really like the doctor there.

I've have no trouble with them really. The doctor is great. The people who worked the front side were a little rude, but still pretty good service.

Some of them might be.......but, while I liked their prices...I got a guy that I felt was just super lazy when it came to the exam. It was okay but the phrase "you get what you pay for" came into mind while there. He went to another WM for awhile and the next guy was good. Now he is back and I went somewhere else. The glasses, frames, and contacts were all okay.........though they don't always call you when they come in.
Costco was cheaper for the exam and glasses. (by only a little bit though) Went there this year BUT ours has about three Dr's and AGAIN......the guy I got was HORRIBLE! Had the personality of a DOORKNOB and sent me the wrong contact lens RX.
