anything Lady and the Tramp. I have little figurines, stuffed animals, xmas ornaments etc

Oooh, Lady and the Tramp, I love that movie! I bought the video for it before dh and I even had kids. LOL! I was afraid it would go back into that "vault" and I'd have to wait too long to get it after we had kids.

Wow forhisglory, you are such a freak!!! LOL. I only say that in jest. Your love of words would only make this quite normal.

I tend to have a facination for tools. Don't know why but I think old tools are pretty neat. I stopped collecting them since I was running out of room and really do not have any need for them. Really, what an I going to do with an old saw or old wooden pulley for a boat?

Not really odd in itself - I collect coins. But a few weeks ago I realized my collection (however small it is) is mostly of "failed economic" and "war" times. . . late Rome, mid 90's Japan (showa), WW2Germany.

Wow 1300!!! No I don't feel so bad about the 50 or so I have cluttering up the house. LOL! I love the old, weird ones. I have an entertaining book from the 1950's that talks very understandingly about how we are now becoming aware that not everyone is able to drink because of alcohalism and then proceeds to giv you three pages of recipies for cocktails mixed with beer, cause, you know... it's not real booze. LOL!

thimbles, honey jars, hankies and screw back earrings...but I have a rule...if I can't put it to use I don't buy them.....some quilters send me their thimbles because they know, I'll keep them in use...honey jars hold sugar, salt, splenda, dry creamer, plants, measuring spoons. But most of all, when I collect, I remember, someone loved this and I will continue to love and use it.

~I'm with you Vicki. I don't have "collectibles", I use what I collect.
My weakness is for 30's-60's stuff. I have and use ladies handbags, clip earrings, costume jewelry, gloves, sewing patterns, sewing gadgets & tools & notions, and kitchen items from that era.~

nuisance - nothing makes me giggle like pulling out a hand mixer and thinking about my friend Jane, or putting on some earrings and wondering what my Aunt wore them with....... and then blowing my nose on grandma's hankies...... ha ha
