Default Dry skin from all this handwashing

    Anyone else?

I noticed tonight that DS hands were dry and chapped from (I assume) the extra handwashing we have been doing. Pulling out the lotion and going to keep him moisturized along with the rest of us.

I have the worst dry skin. Just keep moisturizing it with lotion like aveeno, cetaphil and neutrogena. Went to the dermatalogist years ago and he said to avoid lotions and hand cleansers with perfume in them. I also try to put a heavy dose of cream like eucerin (sp?) on my hands when I go to bed and put cotton garden gloves on them. I usually use generic cream and I buy gloves when they are on clearance.

I used some of the alcohol based hand sanitizer yesterday. Really did not enjoy the smell it left behind. I like using udderly smooth in the evening during the winter on my hands and feet. Seems to really help heal the chapness.

I have extremely dry skin and in the winter time they would crack and hurt like the dickens. Now I know this may sound gross to some but I used A & D ointment on my hands and the bottom of my feet. Since I have been using this since last winter I have had no cracks on my hands and the bottom of my feet have no cracks on them like they used to.
