Taking the kids on a trip to....
Vegas. Let me expalin......
My DS2(13) is in a football tournament over Thanksgiving week(end) we will be leaving on Wed 11/25 and returning to good ol' Cali on Sun 11/29. Its gonna just be me and my 3 boys and I must say I am quite excited!!!! I have NEVER done anything with my boys without my hubby. So heres what I am here for
I need to make this as frugal as possible. We have plans to eat buffet on Thanksgiving with the team. I am taking stuff for sandwiches for all lunches and we are willing even to eat them for dinner also. I am taking breakfast stuff as well...muffins,danishes, donuts etc. as well as drinks. I plan to take them to the strip just to go sight seeing really, the hotels, shops etc.Any suggestions on what we can do for free or REALLY cheap? Any websites etc that offer great discounts for places and/or restaurants?? They have never been so I just want to show them a great time.
I am looking forward to everyones suggestions and ideas!! TIA

How exciting for you all!! Where are you staying? Need to think about this - there's so much to do!!

I don't know if they would be interested, but the Flamingo Hotel has a beautiful Wildlife Habitat you can walk through with fish and lots of exotic birds. That is free. Also, definitely go downtown to Fremont Street, there is a light show at night and that is also free.

Fountains at the bellagio! They're right on the strip and nice to watch at night.
http://www.bellagio.com/amenities/fo...-bellagio.aspx
^^ be sure to click on video tour
There's so much stuff to see there.
Btw, if you see folks standing on the street handing out little cards, DON'T TAKE ONE! They're not trading cards!
I don't know if you have ever been there before but people pass out these cards as a way to advertise the services of certain ladies of the evening. It's fun and kitschy if you're their as a grown up (I tried to collect the whole set) but you probably don't want your kids walking up and grabbing one just because they're free.

I've never been to Vegas myself, but my sister and her husband use to go every year and take their kids. My sister said the are so many things there for a kid she was floored the first year they took them. Have a great time.

Lots of things in Vegas to do for kids. I live in Vegas. At the MGM are the lions to see. The Excalibur is cool for kids to walk through. Also, if you have some spending money there is the aquarium at mandalay bay, the titanic exhibit, roller coasters at new york new york, there is a petting zoo off the strip. Walking through the casinos and checking them out kids love to do.
