A funny......

My ds is 13 years old. He has decided he wants to play basketball for the school team this year. He's never been interested in sports before, but ok, whatever.

Our schools have health clinics in them. There is a nurse on duty all day, every day and then they have a doctor or physicans assistant on duty half the day. So I went up yesterday and pulled him out of class to get his physical there.

The nurse and I are good friends and I graduated with and was good friends with the PA. Both are short women. The nurse came out and got ds and started back to the other room to do his eye test. A few minutes later she came out, looked at me and said " I hate him for making me have to do this" and picked up a stool. I couldn't see what she was doing. Then I heard the PA's office door open and I hear her say to my ds "boy you sure are a tall drink of water aren't you?"

So after he's done I go back there and I asked the nurse why she needed the stool. My ds, only THIRTEEN years old, is 1/2 inch short of being SIX FEET TALL! She needed the stool to stand on so she could raise the little bar thingy to see how tall he was ROFL!!

Where did my baby boy go?

WOW! And he is still growing! The basketball team will love him if he has the coordination to go with it.......good for him!!

The PA says he has probably another 2-3 years of growing to do! OMG! I will have to raise the roof on the house LOL. Dd is a senior and I know the boys in her class didn't get their big growth spurt until their first or second year of high school!

And the eating? He eats constantly! He eats more in one meal than I do all day and then an hour later is saying "mom I'm hungry!" I try to feed him alot of protein and veggies!
