Years ago, I had good luck with Amazon for books.
I am currently moving some on ebay but it's common fiction type books. In box lots. I need to free up some storage area in the other room.
Ebay might work if you set up a store. Auctions would be okay but you better make your start price, a price you will be happy with if you only get one bid.
Half.com also might be interesting to check out. I sold there quite a few years ago, but nothing lately.

i like half, just because i think its sooo easy to list alot of books or media items on there. i think ebay is cumbersome to list on, but it gets alot of traffic

I haven't sold books, but I have read half.com and/or Amazon are your best bets. As usual, you will need to do your research and see if items such as yours are selling and what for. With research you will probably be able to sell some individually and some in lots.

    Good Luck!

I'm a professional bookseller. I will NOT use alibris, because their pricing policies make it very hard for the dealer to make a profit. Ebay these days is for big guys, and have become very difficult to sell anything at a decent price, except for books with ISBNs (1978 on) and those for pennies on what used to be a dollar.

I've sold books TO amazon but never on Amazon or half, both owned by the same company btw.

I sell on Half.com, although agree that eBay has more traffic, but not every book will sell on eBay in a simple 7 day listing, although bulk lot can move items (I am not knowledgeable about eBay stores thou). It's better for me to maximize my sale price, and list on Half.com, then I get email telling me something sold and can pay and print postage from PayPal, also keeps my eBay rating up, even thou I haven't sold much on main eBay in a few years (getting ready to do massive listing next week, set to go live Sat Nov 29th - so this is rating is still important to me).

I checked out listing on Amazon, and don't remember why I settled on Half, but believe it was their shipping fee that I didn't like.
With Half, I rarely list books that will fetch under $4, I have to try and limit my "inventory" of books, some of them just need to get out of the house. So a book on Half.com that has 49 copies available at .99 a copy.. nope that book gets listed on Paperbackswap or goes directly to thrift store. However, in your case if you have several books as a lot that are simliar in topic, you could maximize your profits by listing as a lot on eBay.

It's really going to depend where your market is and how long you are willing to hold stuff in inventory, or if it all needs to go now regardless of price.

    Good Luck!
