Default DH starts a new job Monday

They hired him at the first place he interviewed, whoo! He won't miss any work at all. He has been on home leave at full pay since the incident at work.

He gave his notice last week after a supervisor flipped out and threw a chair in the morning meeting. Since then about 5 other people have turned in resignations. Most of them, like DH were quietly looking for other work as things progressively got bad in the office. There are still several people looking to get out as soon as they find new jobs.

HR has taken notice. The HR director is giving special interviews to the people who leave and will be reporting to senior management. I don't know if they will actually get rid of this jerk, but his actions have not gone unnoticed. Because of him they cannot meet their delivery date on two projects, this probably just cost them 6-8 months of time.

Anyway, we're both happy he found a less stressful environment to work in.

That's wonderful news. To be hired so quickly he must be a five star employee on top of being very lucky. I'm happy for you. It sounds like he has truly paid his dues with the whacko supervisor and it's time he had something better.

I should think that, aside from the unacceptable behavior, the guy will be in very hot water over the production mess. That hits them in a sensitive spot -- the bottom line. HR will probably do more than just "take notice." Maybe "give notice?"
