Gee I swear today will be terrific not rotten!

Gee, identity theft, car wreck and now the cats. We came home one day to find 3 cats shut up in our unlocked barn 4-6 weeks ago. Of course we fed them, built them a nice place to sleep in the barn. I couldn't take them in because I have 3 dogs and 2 cats inside already. These cats were definitely someones pets before they were dropped off as they were super friendly, not afraid of our dogs etc.

They loved to sit in our driveway and wait for the bus or the car to come home. I'm way out in the sticks by the way with a long driveway. Yesterday I came back from getting the the kids and both cats were dead in our driveway along with a cigarette butt (we do not smoke). NOT the road but further into our driveway. How on earth does someone accidentally pull way into my long driveway and accidentally hit two cats? We had this happen to one of my ducks the exact same time of year 2 years ago. Our area is packed with "extra " people right now from all over due to deer hunting.

One of my boys and I buried the poor cats last night . I am so mad because I don't think it was an accident. One of our neighbors had his dog shot in the leg right on his property this hunting season too. GRRRRRr

That's awful! You have a budding serial killer in the area if "Criminal Minds" is any expert on the subject. Leaving that cigarette butt was just a sick "haha" in my opinion.

I can't stand when people hurt animals on purpose - weak and cowardly are the most polite terms I can come up with! Nothing else I'm thinking is printable on FV and will get my post deleted by Greebo!

I think it is probably a annoyed to not get a deer hunter from who knows where. Ugh no serial killers! I'm going to guess someone was smoking when they did it and tossed it out the window of the car/truck.

Regardless today IS GOING TO BE AN EXCELLENT DAY! NO EXCEPTIONS OR DRAMA!

Thanks everyone! It was an awesome day! Mind over matter! I made it good. Nice long bath with a trash book LOL
Dh asked was I sure they were hit and not something else. No not 100% I just assumed because they were there. I didn't examine them. He thought it more likely they were shot.

Hey that sucks about the cats. I have four dogs and worry most about my little one when she takes off on me. There are definitely some sick people out there. Glad you are having a better day.
