    Arrow Im baking today

    french biscuits or yeast biscuits.
    they look like theyre going to turn out. rsisng very good for first rise.Its been 2 years since I made them. pics after how they turned out and how much i go out of 10 cups of flour.

    Could you please post recipes? The French biscuits sounds good.

    I just spent 1/2 an hour baking two dozen apple streusel muffins. DH loves them. He always wants me to put on twice the topping...which I do. Yum!

    here they are:
    and the recipe that goes with them.

    French Biscuits

    mix: 10 cups of flour
    1 tbsp salt
    1/2 lb of shortening

    In a small bowl:
    Put 1 cup warm water,2 tbsp yeast plus 1 tbsp sugar set aside and let rise

    Measure out 5 cups warm water in lg bowl with 1 tbsp of sugar. put in yeast mixture,mix then flour mixture. kneed and let rise in double in size. then roll out and cut with biscuit cutter or can. let rise again on greased cookie sheet, then bake at 350 or 375F until light golden brown on top.

    qm: 48 biscuits and 8 lg rolls is what i got out of it. but i htink i could of left it raise longer i would of gotten more. click on the word here for pic. above.
