I love it when the wife runs back into the house to turn off the lamp before they go Christmas tree shopping, "to save electricity".

But literally every single other light in the house is on as they pull away.

In keeping w/ this thread and not to hijack it mary

    In the news:
Some lady was defrosting her free range 12# turkey on her front porch. why?? But any way some mystery golden colored dog came by stole it and ran off. Later a man in a pick up truck saw the dog w/ it in his mouth waiting for the light. He went to take a picture but it ran off. This older couple spotted it in their yard and put it in the freezer. The woman called the police and reported finding it. The original lady came to pick it up. (would you still want it??) You just can't make this stuff up. Sorry not computer savvy enough to link it. Was featured on yahoo this morning. If someone else would like to.

This is my Dad's favorite movie and one year he wanted to watch it continuously on whatever channel shows it that way during Christmas, and it just about drove my Mom nuts! LOL!

I like the scene where one of the boys gets his tongue frozen to the flagpole...hehehe

V-I believe that was cliff. I like how they go in and have left him. they all look like the cat that swallowed the canary when the teacher is asking where he is.

Love, LOVE, LOVE that movie! We quote it all year long. My DH got a big laugh out of it when I read your post to him, Mary. Now I think he is insanely jealous of your decorating scheme. Rock on, Christmas Story!
