Brag about my dd
My youngest dd's birthday was this summer but we didn't have a party for her because we were renovating and the house was a disaster. She was very good about waiting, we decided to have it in October but then I got sick and was out of commission for a few weeks so it got put off again.
Anyways I was proud of her for being so patient, she is only 6yrs old. But then she just blew me away, I was writing out the invitations for her last week(finally), and she asked me to tell her friends that instead of gifts, to bring pet food.
She wants to take all the food to the SPCA to help feed the animals.

What a sweet girl and very mature for 6 years old. You should definitely be very proud of her. How many 6 year olds would choose to help feed animals in the shelter instead of receiving birthday gifts? That's so cool! BTW, give her a belated Happy Birthday hug from me,too.

Your daughter is a gem!
Not only did she wait patiently throiugh so many
things for her party, but her request was selfless.
She seems to be mature and wise beyond her years
in a WONDERFUL way! You have a truly sweet girl
there.
Please report back on her day of going to the SPCA
and delivering her "presents" !!!!!!You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.

So we went to the SPCA yesterday. She had 60lbs of dry pet food and a laundry basket full of cans of wet pet food to donate. They were really happy to get it since bylaw had just remaoved about 100 cats from someones house!! Some of the cats were in foster homes and some were at the vets and some had to be put down but there were still alot at the SPCA.
I am so proud of her! She says she wants to do it again too!! EF $703.21
