Supposed to Snow Tomorrow!
Okay, I know for many of you it is no big deal. But I live on the south side of Houston Texas (less than 50 miles from the Gulf of Mexico). I have seen snow HERE around 5 or so times in my lifetime (54 years).
Luckily I work from home and hubby is off on Fridays. The freeways will be an ABSOLUTE mess because no one knows how to drive here when things freeze over.
We were supposed to go out and run some errands tomorrow, but now I am planning to make a crockpot of stew, bake, and have a fire in the fireplace. Even if it doesn't snow, it will be rainy and cold all day.Mary

I would almost take some snow - the key word is SOME!
We are supposed to drop to 10 degrees in a couple nights and stay BELOW freezing for a day time high. With no snow it seems soooooo much colder........no insulation!
Have I said that I HATE WINTER???

I'm in Baton Rouge, LA and it's supposed to snow here too!! I doubt it'll be pretty like last year. Last year it was in the day time and we could enjoy it. This year is supposed to be overnight.

I'm 1300 miles north of you and we haven't had any snow yet. There were a few flakes in the air a month ago, but nothing has hit the ground.
This is the first year in recorded history that Toronto has had no snow in October or November.

CORRECTION!!.........no one knows how to drive ANYWHERE when it snows!! They have to RE-LEARN it each year!!
We had (for us) a SKIFF of snow one morning and there were over 100 wrecks ON THE FREEWAY during the morning commute.........the cops just pull their hair out when it is going to snow!! But will the idiots slow down????? HECK NO!! Or you get the jerk that thinks just because he/she drives a 4-wheel drive that they can go faster..........NOT!!!

Frugalfranny is right, no one anywhere remembers how to drive in the snow from one year to the next. I was talking to my mom yesterday and she said they had black ice in the mornng and there were accidents everywhere. And freezing rain is pretty much a daily event there in the winter.

I have live down here all my life and I could probably count on one hand how many times we have gotten snow.
I now live 35 northwest of houston so maybe we will see some snow.
I am not going to hold my breath. LOL
If we do get it the roads will be a mess nobody knows how to drive when it does this.
Heck they hardly know how to drive when we get rain.

After the first quick blizzard in October, which melted, we've had an unusually long autumn. There was no snow again, almost no rain here in southern Manitoba till Dec.1.
Then it snowed big overnight and developed into a regular Canadian prairie blizzard the next day. Today it's 20 below with the windchill. I'm wearing my biggest, warmest parka and my felt pack winter boots, and the snow ploughs have been out for the past few days. Driving is treacherous; every footstep is deliberate.
We call the first few big snows 'fender-bender weather'.

We are supposed to get some light snow tomorrow also. I can't stand it. I am wanting to move south but will have to wait and see what happens with DH's application. Pray that he gets the job, so I can move south again!

No snow predicted here which means it probably will snow. I was in Atlanta once in February. It was 80 when we arrived at 5pm.We woke to an inch of sleet and not even the 7Elevens were open. Everything shut down. It's not just people not knowing how to drive in it but the southern states don't have the equipment to clear the roads which makes it almost impossible to drive in those conditions if you aren't use to doing so. Heck I know people who can't drive in good weather, our county is full of them.
