I Felt Like Crying.....
A little background...My dd#2 is 19 and has never cut her hair. It had grown to where she could sit on it & she babied it. Then last week, she dropped a bomb on my head - she told me that she wanted to cut it....only to the middle of her back, but still....that's quite alot.
Soooo.....relunctantly, I did what she wanted. I felt like crying when I cut the 17" blond ponytail. She still looks beautiful and she donated the ponytail to locks of love.

I'm sure Locks of Love is very thankful for the donation. They are a wonderful organization that provides a wonderful service. Without people like your daughter, they would not be able to exist. She did a selfless thing.

Big hugs to your daughter. You must have taught her to give love well. Be proud

Oh God love her. My DH has long hair(which I love) and he donates about every 2 years. I did cry the first time I saw them cut it. The last time was 22". Give her a big hug and let her know how proud of her you are.

Thats a good thing mom. When I was 15 my hair was long like that. I got it cut in 1 swoop too. The whole salon freaked out,I laughed. Too bad I didn't know about locks of love back then. She sounds like a great kid.Frugal even.lol.

The big tough looking Harley rider across the street (really a big teddy bear) recently cut his hair and donated it to Locks of Love. Your daughter did a WONDERFUL thing!

Your dd is a big sweetie! Locks of Love is wonderful. My dd donated 14 inches one time right after my grandma died of cancer. She donated it in memory of her Grandma Grace.

It's a really wonderfully selfless gift, to donate hair. It takes a lot more time & maintenance then anything you can buy or make. Be very proud!
