These stories are so interesting and inspiring! They remind me of a magazine I used to love to read: "Good Old Days". Does anyone else remember it? They had articles with a different theme every month - Christmas, food, summertime, transportation, etc. It was wonderful!

I am bringing this old post back up again.

The economy is making things tighter for more of us.
My plan is to reread it again

I also came across this a few years back & printed all of it & put everything into binders (took 2 for all 4 parts). My mother was thrilled when I gave the "books" to her after I finished reading them Lots of great info.

Thank you so much ladytoysdream for reviving your post from a couple of years ago. It will make wonderfull reading. My dad grew up during the depression, a few of the ones that I read I can see him nodding his head and saying something along the lines of yep, it weren't pretty.... that was one of the comments that he made the most about that time in his life.
    Thank you once again.
