I have car lust bad!!!!!!!!!
I don't usually get to into cars but in the last 3 days I made 2 trips to the mall to finish Christmas shopping. I bet I spent good 40 minutes total checking out the :
2010 Camaro bumble bee edition.
Oh I have car lust bad bad bad bad bad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now wouldn't that be practical with a new teen driver and another one driving in 2 years??????

Have fun paying the payments...
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Now Greebo you know I wouldn't do payments. I'm almost 12K short the price in my car fund and the EF isn't for a cool yellow camaro is it? Sometimes being practical, frugal and smart isn't fun. I'll admit I did run the math on the balance on 2 2 year note. Nope not happening.
I'll continue drooling until they are used and cheaper!!!!!!!!!!~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

My 24 yo son bought one and he's pays 1200 a month car payments to pay it off faster. and yes he can afford it..........I myself would not pay a small forturne for a car........... but he's young
FernYes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.

OMGosh yes! Total lust! Chevy will even finance at 0%. However the balance left after paying part cash at 2 years even at 0 is still reckless.
But the practical side says hold out and for that price of that one fully loaded beautiful car maybe get it used plus replace dh's car for the same $ or get two nice practical used cars when we are done saving and have $ left.~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

Very cool car! I'm more of a truck person myself, but it IS shiny and sexy, which is always a good thing!
When my mother was in her early 40's, she traded in her "mom car" (an Oldsmobile Brougham) for a Toyota Supra - bright red. She loved it.
I got it when she eventually bought her next new car, and I loved it, too! She drove it for about 5 years, and I drove it for 17. I have no problem with used cars, and I suspect your kids wouldn't either!

Do they sell it in the Hot Wheels/Matchbox sized version yet?
For a tiny fortune, I have treated myself to a Lotus & a convertible BMW

Think of the car as a cat - new kittens are so cute...but eventually they just become an old cat. I tell my husband as soon as you have the cash in your pocket.... go get it!

I just don't get car lust or jewelry lust, but I sure as heck get real estate lust....
By comparison, your car lust is a cheap thing to lust over. Enjoy the lust and know it's not "the real thing."
