Hello from MI
I signed up two years ago but then lost this place.....
Earlier this week I was looking for money saving tips online and rediscovered this forum.
I'm sure glad I did!
We are a single income homeschooling family of five living in sw Michigan. Our dream is to purchase our own small homestead and we need to pay off a few bills (medical) so I really need to buckle down on our spending.
I look forward to reading the numerous threads here on the subject and getting to know some of you

Hello, we're from MI too. Not alot to do outside in winter, is there? There is plenty of great information about saving money, just changing the way we buy food has really helped out.

Welcome
My biggest hint for learning to be frugal is to write things down. Example groceries...track them for a month or two. You will be surprised at your total. It's a dose of reality. You will see where you can start making changes real quick.--------My signature--------
The economy is now uncharted waters... grab a oar and start rowing. ~~
Put the frog in pot, turn up the heat real slow, and the frog doesn't hop out. And by the time he realizes, he should , it's too late... think about it.

Hi and welcome from Florida! Be prepared to be amazed and to meet many, many wonderful people here!!!
Bank of America is THE godfather of Hell with Wells Fargo running neck and neck. When the world ends the only things that will be left are cockroaches, Walmart, Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Not necessarily in that order. The order remains to be seen.

Thank you everyone!
I do have some experience with frugality being a family of five living on a smaller income......... but I've read some stories recently that have really inspired me. There is sooooooo much more I could be doing and learning!! There's no reason we can't achieve our dreams/goals!
I wish to teach our kids by example so it'll stick with them as they grow up and start their own lives.
