Unhappy Ugh. Dead generator battery this morning...

    No COFFEE!

But...DH got it going in under a half hour.

He's my hero. When we are up here at our cabin, we are so far back in the woods, they told us it would cost $140,000 to run electric back here. Uuuummmmm.......no.

So we operate by generator. A very GOOD gen. we invested in, but still..... When the wind chill is -15, sometimes we have problems. Poor DH was out there in this cold at 9 am. I worked on getting the woodstove going while he was out there.

Ahhh....now we're having coffee by the fire. And we don't have to go back to Ohio.

Yes, he's very handy. He can make or fix almost anything. Self-taught.

We have about 9" on the ground right now. Expecting a bit more each day through next Monday. It is 7 degrees right now, at 8pm. I wonder what the low will be tonight.

Sounds to me like you got the best lifestyle, Can you build a wind turbine connected to an alternator to keep a spare battery charged
Seems like you have everything under control any way. Wouldn't take much. I have in the past looked online and it wasn't that hard but since I live in the city, they won't allow it here. Great life you have and Merry Christmas.
