Does anyone know any frugal ways to wax a chin? Tweezing only lasts a day. $8 for a chin wax.
Any suggestions?Step 1 $207/1500
Step 2 Student loan $160.00 monthly
Schewels paid
Step 3 $252/$15000
Step 4
Step 5 1 child in college graduates 12/12
2 child $50.00
Step 6 $70,761/$93,000
Step 7 Build wealth & give.

Nope. tweezers are the best in my book.Plus wax tends to leave you either really chapped and red, peeling skin.

Yes, bleaching. Not like actual bleach. But I know you can buy it at any store/pharmacy, walmart, target, walgreens, cvs, etc., in the health and beauty department. It's not very expensive, maybe $5 for a box. The name brand that I know of is Sally Hanson. It's called facial bleaching creme. You just put it on and then rinse it off. My mom makes me help her use it, lol, I hope I don't need to use it for a long time!

How about a "Smooth Away" hair removal pad? It works on legs...

The bleaching doesn't make them come off, but it makes them softer in texture and not dark.
I had two more thoughts, did you know that you can buy waxing kits to do-it-yourself at home that are a lot cheaper than salon prices?
And they make Nair for your face. You just put on the Nair lotion and the hair comes off when as you rinse it off. I've used Nair on my legs and it takes about 1 1/2 weeks before I needed to use it again. Where as if I'd shaved I would have to do it the next day.

You can buy wax strips that you just heat up between your hands, they are a lot quicker and less mess (and pain) than hot wax. Then you can just use the tweezers on whatever's left.

Well it's a little of an investment, but what about buying your own waxing set up! I have my own and then once a month or every two weeks depending on your hair growth you just plug the wax pot in and do it yourself and you can also do your eyebrows upper lip, legs or wherever you want to wax and it's all at minimal cost, the replacement pots of wax are about $20, but I have had my own set up for over a year now and haven't even used a half a pot of wax...so it's well worth it in my book!

Tweezing actually pulls the hair follicle out from the root if you're doing it correctly. Are you just yanking at the tip of the hair or are you placing the tweezers right at the base of the hair where it starts to stick out from the skin? (closest to the skin is best way to get the root as well)
Bleach creams just lighten colour and texture but its still visible as tiny blonde hairs instead of dark.
Creams - Nair eats the hair at the surface and I have very dark hair...Nair or Neet has never worked for me.
Waxing would pull out the hair and majority from the root if done correctly but when I tried to lax ONE leg, my skin was too sensitive that part of it came off
It was mighty painful but as others have said....you do get used to it.
Threading - never tried it, was told it hurts more then waxing!
These are just my thoughts on this - I'd prefer to tweeze. Budget a few extra minutes of daily plucking time either when you first wake up or before bed. Over time...if you continually pluck, you should have a bald patch ie your desired appearance. You pay once for the tweezers and can pluck just about anytime, anywhere w/o having to make an appointment. Thats a bonus in my books!
Is it possible that you're seeing other hairs grow in near the area you've plucked thinking that the hairs grow back overnight?2012: The Year Of The Purge!

Make sure you use the tweezers with the pointy tips (sold as 'splinter tweezers') they are much more effective than the slanted ones.

i onlyy have 2 on my chin (lol) and i pluck them. the girl who waxes my eyebrows plucks them also.
i have upper lip dark hair (the italian in me!!) that i use a cream facial hair remover. it stinks! but works...just has to be done every 2 wks or so...
i have my brows waxed. could never stand to pluck all that!!! ouch!
i have heard that w/ threading, you really have to go w/ someone who knows what the heck they are doing! ask around...

That is exactally what I do...I get the box with the largest strips in it and cut the strips up to the size I need...the box cost me about $8 and it will last me about 6 months or more. You can get small strips, but in the long run they cost more, use the large ones and cut them to the size you want before you heat them up and pull them apart...more bang for you buck.
