    Default christmas gift card

Dh gothis Christmas gift card from work. It was for a wellknown grocery store. He got $50. This store is soooo expensive I wish they would go back to the other store they used before, but hey it helps. To give you an e xample, here's what we got:
    2 packs bacon- BOGO
    2 packs hot dogs-BOGO
1 large package of rope italian sausage
    1 large stuffing chicken
Gallon of milk1 can of store brand coffee
    cough medicine
    tooth paste
    toothebrushes

    Total-56.78
Here's the kicker I used their smart shopper card for extra savings and saved 20.00. So the total was actually 76.78. They had a ham that weighed around 15 pounds and wanted 67.00 for it but if you used their card they knocked of 1.29 a pound. We went to a competitors where the same brand of ham was 99 cents a pound and got almost 30 pounds for 28.36.( we got two) I think that those prices at the other store are quite expensive. I was doing the frugal thing, looking for deals and the ones we got are the only deals they had. But we won't run out of ham for a few days

You've got to be kidding...$50 for that and part of it free? They must have got a discount on the gift cards. While I know anything is appreciated they could have done so much better.
"So the total was actually 76.78"...I have spent almost to the penny that at Publix and walked out with $150 to $170 worth of groceries with the BOGO.

Oh well, I still would have appreciated the gesture and you got stuff free to you. Hugs

We appreciated the card but it didn't go very far that's for sure. The boss belongs to a church where this store is and everybody shops there.Of course all these people have money too. That's why he got them there. I can do better at my local store but we put it to good use.

PGTW - you made great use of the card!! Isn't it amazing the choices people make? And aren't you glad for your choices!! Great job!!
